The articles published in the Epidemiology and Public Health journal are in full open access. It means that it is available for unlimited use as well as the reuse of articles, in addition to offering the required credit to the authors. All of the articles that are published in the journal are under a Creative Commons license. Users can get access to peer-reviewed text free of cost without subscription or price barricades.
To cover the production charges and manage the journal expenses, we charge authors.
The idea of charging authors with a one-time Article Processing Charge is to manage the publishing expenses of the Epidemiology and Public Health journal. The costs involved in publishing the journal include:
- Peer review management and administration
- Expert production of articles in PDF and other formats
- Website maintenance
- DOI assignment and article archiving
- Post publication activities
- Distribution of published papers in different venues
The Article Processing Charge also covers costs that are involved in various other publishing activities.
Authors who want to publish their work in the Epidemiology and Public Health are supposed to pay article publication charges after the manuscript acceptance. There are no surcharges derived from the length of a manuscript or article, statistics, or supplementary information.
Publication charges for each manuscript irrespective of type (research/review/case report/commentary/clinical image) is 1200 USD only.
Withdrawal Charges
Authors are permitted to withdraw their manuscript without incurring any withdrawal penalties if the request for withdrawal is made within 72hours of submission. However, if the author(s) request the withdrawal of the manuscript after it has entered the peer review process, the production stage (Early Release or Ahead of Publishing), or has been published online, a withdrawal penalty will apply.
Withdrawal charges for each manuscript is 1000 USD only.
